Head coach Benjamin Nyangweso has challenged midfielder Moses Mwangi to live up to the expectations he set in a cameo role as Ulinzi Stars rallied to beat Sony Sugar 3 – 1 in a stunning comeback on Match Day 4 at the Afraha Stadium on Saturday 28 September.

Mwangi, a second half substitute, replacing Ezekiel Okare in the game, scored his first Ulinzi Stars goal in just his second appearance for the team, setting the team on the right track after trailing 0 – 1 at the break, much to the coach’s satisfaction.

Key role

The coach intimated that with more of such performances, the diminutive winger can play a key role to the team’s campaign in the season and foreseeable future as he urged him to keep up.

“Mwas was outstanding, and I think we all saw what the contribution in the rise from a goal down. The most important thing is that he aided the team win, but he has also set a challenge for himself and he has to keep up with the standard.

“He boosted the attack and went on to score and I think if he can sustain that kind of performance, he will be a key player for us,” coach Nyangweso said.

Going to the next game Mwangi will be crossing fingers for another outing and should he be fielded against Western Stima on Saturday 5^th October, it will be his first away game for Ulinzi Stars.
